Basketball Finale, Birthday Party, & Bridal Shower

After two weekends of not doing much, this weekend was a little busier.

Saturday morning, Owen and Avari had their last Bitty Basketball game.  Avari was SO excited that this day was finally here.  Not because she didn't like basketball (she really enjoyed it), but because she finally got her trophy and cookie!  They give out cookies and trophies or medals after the last game of each sport.  Owen and Avari both played a shortened game.  Then they received their trophies and cookies.  Owen played well.  Avari was more interested in playing with Kenley, and anything else that was going on, but she did manage to play a little bit.

(Nettie we should have done this with Owen, Avari, and Lance)

After Owen and Avari's games, they wanted to go to McDonalds, so we went through the drive through.  We took it to my parents' house to eat.  Before the games, Owen had gone with my dad to get Bailey's nails trimmed.  He stayed at their house, until the basketball game.  While he was there, he started drawing a picture, and he wanted to finish it, after the games.
After Alvin woke up, him and Owen went with my dad to get turtle soup from Duckville.  Then we headed to Jasper for Aden's 6th birthday party (he turns 6 on Feb. 28).  The kids had a lot of fun at his Angry Birds themed party.  Becca did a great job with the decorations and cake.

Unfortunately Aden was the only one that hadn't gone yet.  Fortunately, we were able to tape it back together, so Aden could have his turn.  He also busted it open, and was happy! :)

Sunday morning, after church and Sunday school, we headed to Kevin and Kristin's house for lunch.  Danny, Nettie, and Lance also came over.  After lunch, the girls (minus Kambry) went to a bridal shower for Jacque Betz (the guys' cousin), while the guys (and Kambry) hung out at the house.  After the shower, we went back to Kevin and Kristin's house, and spent the rest of the afternoon, and part of the evening there.  The kids all had a lot of fun playing with each other, while the adults talked and got caught up on each others' lives.
