Saturday, after Alvin woke up, we got our pool out, and set it up. While it was filling up, Alvin and my dad, worked on putting the bridge across the ditch between our yard and their yard. We have been wanting to do this for awhile, so that if our kids, or the Schipp girls want to go to grandma and grandpa's house, they don't have to go on the road, and can go by themselves. All of the kids LOVE it, and couldn't wait to try it out! Owen and Avari had fun helping daddy and grandpa build the bridge, and playing in the pool as it filled up! They pretty much went non-stop that afternoon. Since they were busy helping outside, and Easton decided to take a long nap, I was finally able to put the kids' fall/winter clothes away.
That evening, my parents went to Shoney's with us. After we ate, we drove up to Patoka. We stopped by the beach, and let the kids play in the sand, and then drove around one of the campgrounds.
Friday night dad was grilling hamburgers.
Easton kept pulling himself up on the door to watch papaw. I guess Bailey wanted to make sure she wasn't missing out on anything. ; - )

Owen and Avari watching daddy and papaw hook up the other half of the bridge.
Easton enjoyed watching daddy and papaw work too!
Sunday, after church, we headed to Walmart. Late that afternoon, we went to Celestine lake for Kaida's 1st birthday party. She is my cousin, Alicia Hartings's, little girl. The kids had fun playing in the sand and the lake. Later that evening, we went to April and Thad's house. They were going to be roasting marshmallows, and making smores, and asked if we wanted to come over. I don't pass up smores, and Owen and Avari wanted to play with Gavin. They had a lot of fun playing in April and Thad's new (to them) camper. Ever since then, Owen has been telling Alvin that we need a camper....I couldn't agree more! Now if only we could get Alvin on board! Lol
Monday afternoon, we went to Kevin and Kristin's land in Perry County for a Memorial Day party with friends. We ate, went fishing, played in the water (well, the kids did), and just visited. I think everyone had a lot of fun.

Jillian was the only one who caught fish big enough to keep...one was even a catfish.
What did she use to catch them???
A hot dog, of course!
It was great having a long weekend! Thank you to A-Dawg and everyone else that have served, and are serving our country! We appreciate everything you do!
