Christmas Eve we didn't have any parties to go to, so we had our Christmas at home. We went to the Children's Mass, and afterwards, my parents and Katie came up to the house. We ate supper, and then let Owen and Avari open their gifts. They were so excited about opening their presents, and even more excited once they saw what they got! We spent the rest of the night putting together, and playing with their new toys!
Setting out cookies for Santa :)
Christmas morning, Owen was really disappointed to wake up and see that Santa hadn't left him anything...or so he thought! He came into our room, and said "Mommy, daddy, Santa didn't come!! All that's out there is blue blankets." I told him that they must not have been good! ;) I told him we should go check for sure, and found that Santa had used the blankets to hide their presents! Owen was so relieved and excited! He couldn't wait any longer to unwrap his present, so we let him. He was even more excited to find out the Santa had brought him the 4-Zinger (or Zummer, as he calls it) 4-wheeler that he wanted!! Avari on the other hand, wasn't nearly as thrilled...she actually had no interest in it at all. :) Owen had fun opening her present though. Even after Avari saw that Santa had brought her a pedal tractor, she didn't have much interest in it. I'm sure that will change once it gets warm outside, and Owen is driving his. :)
Avari trying to open her present...she couldn't get it right away, so she gave up and let Owen do it! :)

Gifts from Santa
After opening Santa's gifts, we went to Alvin's parents' house for Christmas dinner. We went to my parents' house for Christmas supper. We had a great time at both places, watching the kids' open their presents, and celebrating together.

This time my kids are looking. :)
Out of all the pictures that Nettie, Kristin, and I took, I don't think any of us got one where they were all looking...oh well! :)
Merry Christmas from the Boeglins!
