This past week was definitely a busy one!
On Monday, Owen and Avari had gymnastics from 4:15-5:15. After that was over, we headed to Cedar Crest for the Junior Rangers basketball camp that Owen was participating in, which went from 5:30-7:00. It teaches kids the fundamentals of basketball, like defense, shooting, dribbling, and teamwork. It also helps to prepare them for the Junior Rangers basketball program that takes place in November, where they play games against each other.
On Tuesday evening, Owen had basketball camp again. Alvin took him over, while Avari, Easton, and I ran to the store.
On Wednesday, after school, Owen had his 7-year check-up. That evening, my dad took Owen to basketball camp, while my mom watched Avari and Easton, and Alvin and I went to Owen's parent/teacher conference with Mr. Hall. Mr. Hall said that Owen is doing very well, and is very well behaved, and quiet. We are very proud of how well Owen is doing in school, and we hope he keeps it up.
After, conferences, we headed to Cedar Crest. I stayed and waited for Owen to finish, while dad took Alvin home, so that he could head to work.
Thursday was Owen's birthday, and also his last day of basketball camp. We told Owen that he could pick what he wanted to supper. He chose Denny's, so Alvin picked up food from there. Since Avari, and Easton weren't done eating, Alvin took Owen to practice, and we met him over there later. After camp, my parents and the Schipps came over to celebrate Owen's birthday.
Friday evening, Owen and Avari went with Danny and Lance to meet Nettie at North Hancock County Elementary School. Nettie teaches 5th grade there, and had invited Owen and Avari to their annual Fall Carnival. They were so excited to go, and had a blast. Thank you Nettie and Danny, for inviting and taking them.
While Owen and Avari were at the carnival, Easton and I went to Margie and April's 31 party. Afterwards, we stopped by Danny and Nettie's to pick up Owen and Avari, and visited with them for awhile.
After this week, I think I am starting to see what lies ahead for us, as the kids get older. Even though it was a busy week, the kids were enjoying what they were doing, so that made it worth it.
