A Birthday Party / Soccer Season Begins Again

Saturday afternoon, we headed to Georgetown to celebrate Kaden's 3rd birthday. He is the son of my cousin, Barbara.  Alvin had to work that night, so we couldn't stay long, but the kids had fun, while we were there.  Avari wasn't ready to leave, so Emily said that she could go home with them.  She enjoyed being able to play longer, eat cake, and watch Kaden open his presents.  Once we got home, Alvin headed to work, which was extremely hard for him to do when there was a brand new truck in the driveway (more on that in another post).  The boys wanted to go to my parents' house, so that's where we went, and the Schipps brought Avari there after the party.

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY KADEN!!

On Sunday, the kids and I went to church.  Then came home to wake Alvin up, and get Owen ready for his first soccer practice of the season.  Owen is playing soccer with the Ferdinand Kiwanis.  He went back and forth about whether or not he wanted to play this year, but in the end, he decided to play.  I think he's glad that he did because he said he had fun.
After his practice, we headed to Jasper to get Owen and Avari new tennis shoes.  We also had to get Owen some new soccer cleats because we found out that his were too small when he put them on for practice.  We stopped in at my parents' house again that evening, so Alvin and dad could talk about the truck we had in our driveway.
