Disney World - Our Resort

On Sunday morning, we left for the Louisville Airport to catch a plane to Disney World!  Everyone was really excited.  I don't know if Owen and Avari were more excited about going to Disney World, or finally getting to fly in a plane. :)  They both did really good on the plane ride.  Easton on the other hand, cried and fussed almost the whole flight.  I think it was mainly because he was tired, and a little bit because he couldn't move around.  He finally gave up and fell asleep as the plane started its descent to the airport...go figure.  Luckily he great on the flight back on.
Ready for their 1st plane ride!

We stayed at a Disney resort, which was really nice.  They have a Disney Magical Express that picks up you and your luggage from the airport, and takes you to your resort.  Then, the day you leave, they have your boarding passes ready for you, and tell you what time your bus will be leaving for the airport.  They also take care of check-out for you.  All we had to do was take our luggage to the check-in area of our resort, and they took them from there.  We didn't see them again, until we landed back in Louisville.  With three little kids, that was great!  We also chose a dining plan, so our food was paid for before we got there.  Our plan include a table-service meal, a quick-service meal, and a snack for each day.  You could mix up, just once you were out, you had to pay, so we tried to stick with using one of each a day.  It was more than enough for us, and we could use it at any of the parks, and at Downtown Disney, so we any spent money on souvenirs.  Our resort also gave us souvenir cups, as part of our dining plan, which we could use at the resort for free drinks our entire stay.  They also came in very handy at Magic Kingdom.
Entering Walt Disney World.

The resort we stayed at was Port Orleans-Riverside.  It was a really nice resort, which was themed after "The Princess and the Frog".  The buildings that housed the rooms, were spread out throughout the resort, and we walked across a bridge to get to the lobby, the restaurants, and the bigger pool, called Ol'Man Island.

We got to the resort late Sunday afternoon, so we spent that evening walking around the resort, and checking everything out.  We ate at the table-service restaurant in our resort that night.  It was more of your New Orleans food, but we found something that we liked.

The building next to ours.
A beautiful courtyard, in front of one of the building's next to ours.

Below our pictures from the "Royal Guest" room that we stayed in.

See the headboards??
This is what they did when you hit the button on the side of them.
The kids thought this was so cool! :)
Magic Carpet (Aladdin)
Genie's lamp (Aladdin)
Dog footstool (Beauty and the Beast)
This river was right outside of our building.
It took you to the Port Orleans-French Quarter Resort, and Downtown Disney area.
For some reason, Easton liked to hug the light posts at our resort. haha
The kids also like watching the river boats come and go.
View from across the bridge by the bigger pool.
More views from across one of the bridges.
View from the boat dock.

What the housekeeper left one day after cleaning our room. :)
The next day the housekeeper out Easton's ugly doll in it's lap.
Our resort also has a movie on the lawn every night at 9:00.  Unfortunately, Monday was the only night that they had it,while we were there because of the rain that Tropical Depression Andrea was bringing in.
Watching the boat once again.
Easton + Mickey Mouse = 1 happy little guy (who was ready for bed) : )
