On Monday, we went to Magic Kingdom. This was our whole family's first visit to the Magic Kingdom (to Disney World, in general actually). It is definitely a lot to take in, but really awesome!
We spent our first day waiting in line for character autographs. Avari loved meeting all the Disney characters. Owen didn't really care for the princesses, or Tinkerbell and friends, but did get the autographs of some of the other characters. Easton loved giving the characters his book to sign, but that about as far as it went. Most of the time, he would hand to the character, and walk away. When they were done signing, we would grab it and walk away again. Some of the times, he just threw the autograph book to them. Haha At least they didn't make him cry. :)
Cinderella's castle
buildings around Main Street USA
The following pictures are from the "Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It" parade
Chip and Dale and Minnie Mouse
The Mad Hatter and two Jungle Book characters
The Genie, Mr. Incredible, and FroZo
Donald Duck was on the back of their float
Sebastian and Goofy
Woody and Jessie, and Luminere
When the parade made it to the circle in front of Cinderella's castle, the characters got off their floats and danced to several different songs. Everyone was invited to dance with them.
Owen watching Mr. Incredible
Avari and Vidia (the wind fairy)
Avari and Tinkerbell
(one of Avari's favorite characters)
The rest of the fairies weren't there.
Easton fell asleep shortly after we got into the park. :)
Daisy Duck
Minnie Mouse
This is the best pic I got of Easton and Minnie.
Avari and Owen gladly took a picture with Minnie
Goofy
He was Owen's favorite character that we met.
Donald Duck
Stopping for a snack or Mickey-shaped soft puzzles, cheese, and slushies
Buzz Lightyear
We didn't get his autograph because they were shutting his line down, for some expected lightening.
We might have missed him, but luckily the lightening never came.
Avari and Ariel
(another one of Avari's favorites)
The closest Easton would get to Ariel expect to give her his book and get his book.
She was asking him to sit next to her...it didn't happen...he said "No." Haha
Alvin, Avari, and Owen riding the Magic Carpet ride.
We got to the line for Jasmine and Aladdin right as they were closing the line. The lady told us that, since this would be the last chance we would have to see them before the park closed that day, that we might want to stay in line until they come back out, which was going to be in about 20-30 minutes. Since Easton was sleeping, and the Magic Carpet ride was next to where we were, with only a 15 minute wait, I told Alvin to take Owen and Avari on it, and I would stay in line with Easton. I worked out great, as they got back to the line about 5 minutes before Jasmine and Aladdin came back out.
Jasmine and Aladdin
(another one of Avari's favorites)
Unfortunately, by this time, she was exhausted, and didn't want to stand by them unless I did. She later told me that she didn't want to go up there by herself because Aladdin was there too...silly girl.
Easton FINALLY got to meet Mickey!!
I love the expression on his face.
He was so excited to meet him that once we got to the part of the line where he could see him, he kept trying to cut in front of everyone, to get to Mickey. He had he autograph book and pen in his hand, and kept saying "I go see Mickey! I go see Mickey!"
Of course, once he finally to go to Mickey, he had the same reaction he had with all the other characters...he wouldn't get too close to him. :)
Easton kept trying to sneak behind Mickey Mouse.
He actually snuck between Mickey and Avari...
Then Mickey saw him, and turned little, to try and get Easton to stand by him, and Easton ran back to the curtain...hence Mickey's expression. Haha
This area was really crowded when we got to the park, so we took a picture as we were leaving.
We left the park before the nighttime spectacular because we had to be back as soon as they opened on Tuesday for our Breakfast with the Princesses.
We took the bus back to our resort, ate something from the quick-service restaurants, and caught the end of "Wreck-It Ralph" that was playing on the lawn, one building down, before calling it a day.
