We spent Tuesday at Magic Kingdom too. We got there as soon as the park opened because we had reservations at Cinderella's Royal Table, for breakfast with some of the princesses. After breakfast, we spent the rest of the day, riding rides, and waiting out a couple of downpours. :) Our plan was to stay until the Main Street Electrical parade came through, but the rain kind of changed those plans. We all still had a blast, and were completely worn out (and wet), by the time we left.
Avari was in NO mood to take a picture in front of Cinderella's castle on Monday. Luckily, she was all for it on Tuesday.
Notice her pose...that's the pose she said she was going to do, when she got her picture taken with the princesses at breakfast. :)
The back of Cinderella's castle
Avari with Cinderella.
The boys preferred not to get their picture taken with any of the princesses. ;)
Waiting for breakfast.
Avari and Snow White
Avari and Jasmine
Avari and Aurora (Sleeping Beauty)
When you walked into the dining area, all the kids got a wishing star, and the girls got wands and the boys got swords. Easton really liked his sword. :)
Avari and Ariel
Donald, Minnie, Mickey, and Goofy with their back-up dancers.
Aurora and Prince Philip, Cinderella and Prince Charming, and Snow White and Prince dancing for Mickey and Minnie.
Peter Pan and Wendy (far left) dancing with Goofy and Donald
The Wicked Witch from Sleeping Beauty
Captain Hook and Smee (in back) with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald.
The entire cast
After the show ended, we made our way to several different rides. At one point, we stood in the roof of a restroom for about 20 minutes waiting for a downpour to quick or at least lighten up. Apparently, Tropical Depression Andrea was starting to make her way inland. I'm very thankful that I opted to include the rain cover for our stroller. :) It would have been even better if we would have remembered to take our umbrella from the hotel, or better yet brought ponchos. haha Luckily, the rain did stop, and we could continue riding rides. We pretty much let the kids decide what we rode. Besides, Aladdin's Magic Carpets and Swiss Family Treehouse, (which we did on Monday), we rode "it's a small world", Mad Tea Party, The Barnstormer, Under the Sea-Journey of the Little Mermaid, and Prince Charming Regal Carrousel. We also went to the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor comedy show. We wanted to ride Splash Mountain, but it was closed. The kids did play in Casey Jr.'s Splash 'N' Soak Station right before it rained...go figure. haha
As we were walking through Fantasyland, Cinderella's evil stepmom and step-sisters walked by.
Eric's castle, at the beginning of the Under the Sea ride.
Scuttle told the story of The Little Mermaid.
The boys on the Under the Sea ride.
The girls on the Under the Sea ride.
Avari said this was her favorite ride.
Mickey and Minnie
Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket
Dopey, Snow White, and Prince
Aladdin and Genie with Dumbo behind them.
Mary Poppins and the chimney sweep (I can't remember his name).
The Queen of Hearts and rabbit from Alice in Wonderland.
Smee from Peter Pan...or Jake and the Neverland Pirates.
Peter and Wendy, and Alice and the Mad Hatter
The Fairy Godmother and Cinderella and Prince Charming
Belle
Beast
Aurora and Prince Philip
Ariel and Eric
Tiana and Prince Naveen
After the parade, we stayed around Main Street USA, until we were able to get a table at Tony's Town Square Restaurant. It was a "Lady and the Tramp" themed restaurant, and was pretty good. After our bellies were full, we headed for a few more rides.
Below are pictures of the "it's a small world" ride
Rapunzel's tower
Easton was SO excited to finally get to ride the carrousel.
(We had to wake him up to sit on the horse, so he wasn't completely awake when I took this picture.)
The kids liked the tea cups too.
We spotted Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, as we were walking into Tomorrowland.
(Tigger was too fast, so I didn't get a picture of him.)
When we walked out of the Monsters, Inc. show, it was pouring again. Luckily our stroller was parked in a dry spot, but we had to run across the walkway to get it. We stood in the stroller parking area, for a little while. When we decided that it wasn't going to quick for awhile. Alvin went to gift shop (that very luckily, was right behind us) to buy ponchos. Avari and Owen sat in the stroller under the rain cover, while Easton, Alvin, and I put on the ponchos. It actually worked out well this way because Easton is a lot easier to carry, then Owen and Avari, so we could get to another dry place quicker.
We really wanted to stay and watch the "Celebrate the Magic", "Wishes Nighttime Spectacular", and the Main Street Electrical parade, since it was our last night at the Magic Kingdom, but were a little afraid that with the rain, they wouldn't have any of it. After asking a Disney employee about the shows, we decided to wait it out. We are really glad we did because it was really neat. We did leave after the fireworks, so we didn't get to see if they did the electrical parade (the earlier one was cancelled because of the rain). I guess we will just have to go back again to see that. ;)
One of the many colors that Cinderella's castle changed to at night.
Wreck-It Ralph on the castle.
Ariel on the castle.
Mickey Mouse on the castle.
One tired little boy.
I'm pretty sure he fell asleep right after the show started.
Enjoying the show and fireworks from under the rain cover.
Fireworks
So pretty!
After the fireworks, we caught a bus back to our resort. Luckily the rain had slowed down a lot, by the time the bus got to our stop, so we didn't have to walked from the bus stop to our room, in the pouring rain. The kids were exhausted, but not quite ready to go to bed, so we gave them showers, and all watched TV. It didn't take long for them to pass out. :)
Even though it rained a couple of times on our 2nd day at Magic Kingdom, we all had an awesome time. We definitely want to go back again sometime!
