Basketball & Football

Last weekend was filled with basketball and football.  Saturday morning, Owen had his first bitty basketball game.  He did really good, and even made a basket!!  Of course, I didn't get a picture of it because right when he shot, a coach from the other team walked in front of me...go figure :).  It's really fun to watch them play.  The way they play, is that one player gets the ball, and dribbles it down the court.  Then he/she passes the ball to another player, and runs into the center.  Once the ball is past to every player, the person in the center gets to shot the ball.  Then the other team does the same thing.  They don't keep score, and every player gets the chance to shoot the ball.  After the game, Alvin stayed home with the kids, while Emily and I ran to Jasper.  That night, we went to the Jones's house.  Like always, Owen, Avari, Addison, and Gavin had a lot of fun playing together.

Sunday, after church, we went with my family to the Jasper Inn Country Buffet.  It was a good thing too because that was their last day open.  Our waitress said that they were always really busy on the weekends, but not enough to make up for them being slow during the week.  It's really dissapointing because we liked eating there, and they always had good food.  Afterwards, we came home, so the kids could take naps.  Then we went to a Super Bowl party at Danny and Nettie's house.  It was a lot of fun, and Owen and Avari loved playing with Lance, Kennedy, and the other kids that were there.  Too bad the Colts couldn't pull off a win....Oh well, there's always next year. ;)
