School Update

Owen
This Friday marked the end of the first semester for Owen.  He has done really well this first semester.  He is still in the high ability Language Arts class, and started Accelerated Reader.  He is at or above where he needs to be for this semester, so we are happy.  He enjoys school, but enjoys his days off much better.  Haha
He really enjoyed his last week, before Christmas break.  They had something fun going on almost every day that week, mixed in with some school work too.  Friday they had a Good Behavior Bash in the morning.  Any student that received less than bad behavior 10 points in the semester got to go.  I'm proud to report that Owen didn't get any bad behavior points!  Friday afternoon, they had their Christmas party.  Owen was super excited about it because Alvin was helping out, and I'm pretty sure, Alvin was just as excited.
Alvin and I are proud of how well Owen has done this semester, and hope that he continues to do well next semester.

Avari
Avari's last day of preschool for 2013 was Friday, Dec. 13.  Her last week was a little different than normal.  Because of the snow we had the weekend of Dec. 6, she only went to school on Friday.  Classes were cancelled on Monday and Wednesday.
Avari has done really well the first half of the year.  They have learned more about the letters A-J, and the numbers 1-4.  They have also learned how to read the words, "I", "see", "can", "my", "like", "a".  Avari loved when they were introduced to new words because she was always the first one get the word right.  Haha  They have also brought home several projects that they made.  Unlike her big brother, Avari can't wait to go back to school.
Alvin and I are also proud of how well Avari has done the first half of the school year, and hope that she continues to do well the last half.
