Happy New Year!

I can't believe the holidays are over, and 2013 is here!  While the past year had some ups and downs, it was a still a good year over all.  I can't wait to see what this year will bring!  I hope everyone has a healthy and prosperous new year!

We spent New Year's Eve morning and afternoon putting Christmas decorations away, taking the tree outside, and just hanging around the house.  For awhile, Avari helped me put Christmas decorations away, while Owen helped Alvin make taco soup for the New Year's Eve party.  Easton spent the morning telling the tree and all the Christmas decorations "bye-bye".  It was really cute!
Monday evening, we went to April and Thad's house for a New Year's Eve party.  Not as many people came this year, due to illnesses, and other plans, but it was still fun.  It ended up being, us, the Joneses, the Schipps, and the Healys.  One of April's friends came for a little while, with her two little boys, but left when her husband got off work.  Nick, Lindsey, and Colson also left later in the evening to go to another party, while Jillian decided to stay and spend the night with Adi.  The dads, Owen, and Gavin took turns playing video games, while the girls and little boys played, and Emily, April, and I drank wine and talked.  Even though is was a smaller party, it was still fun.  It was just really nice ringing in the new year with family and friends.

New Year's Day, Danny and Nettie took most of the Boeglin family to Golden Corral for our annual New Year's Day lunch.  Kaden was sick, so Kevin, Kristin, and the kids didn't make it this year.  It is really of them to do this every year, and we really appreciate it.  We spent the afternoon and home, and went to visit with my parents in the evening.  I think it was a great start to the new year.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Easton loves this snowman.  I'm pretty sure he thinks it's a baby doll.  He will carry it around, give it a bottle, and hug on it. :)
On Wednesday, Owen hauled out tree down to the burn pile with his 4-zinger.
Alvin and Owen actually dragged it down to the pile by hand because they couldn't get the 4-zinger started.  Once the sun warmed it up a little, and it started, Alvin dragged it back up to the front yard. so that Owen could haul it down with his 4-wheeler....whatever makes them happy!  :)
