Annual Halloween Party

This past weekend we had our annual Halloween party with the Hartings cousins.

On Friday evening, the kids and I went into the Schipps' house to help get things ready for the Halloween Party.  We also decided to throw in a surprise diaper party for April and Thad, so Emily and I made a diaper cake.  We have wanted to throw them one for awhile now, but our weekends have been so busy.  Since she is due in a few weeks, we were running out of time.  Emily and I decided that the Halloween party would be a good time to have it because we wouldn't have to think of an excuse to get them somewhere.  Thad ended up finding out about it on Saturday morning, but I think April was still surprised. : - )

Saturday morning, Avari had a soccer game.  The team that they played only had three players show up, and only 2 of them actually played...the little girl didn't want anything to do with it that day.  Since it was 2 vs 6, Christine (the lady in charge) said that Owen and Adi, and the one players older brother could play on the other team, to even it out a little more.  Owen really enjoyed getting to play soccer again.  Avari still, isn't that into soccer, but she is getting a little better each week.
After soccer, we went to my parents' house for a little while.  Then came home, so I could make taco soup and cookies for the Halloween party.  Late in the afternoon, we headed to Emily and Adam's for the Halloween/Diaper party.  It was a lot of fun, and I know that all the kids had a blast playing together.  They all looked really cute in their costumes.  Some of us adult even dressed up, as pirates.

Sunday, mom went to church we us, while Owen stay with my dad because he wasn't up through the night coughing, so he didn't sleep very well.  After church and Sunday school, we went to Tell City with my parents to get something to eat.  Afterwards, we did our Walmart shopping down there.  Once we got back, we spent the rest of the evening at home.
