A Lazy Weekend

This past weekend, we actually didn't really do anything for once.

Thursday evening, Owen and Avari had basketball practice.  When I opened the garage door to head to practice, I was very surprised to see that snow was not only falling, but it was already sticking to the ground. Now, this came as a surprise to me because if they announce it on Nick Jr. or Disney Jr, I don't hear about what's going on in the world, during the day, unless somebody calls and tells me.  Those channels didn't announce anything, and nobody called to inform me!  Haha  Luckily, we made it to and from practice without any problems.

Friday, Owen and Adi had another snow day.  Although Owen was a little disappointed that he would no longer get a 4 day weekend in a couple of weeks, he was happy to have another Friday off.  Owen, Avari, Easton, Adi, and Kenley spent the day playing both on the main floor and in the basement.  They also played the Wii and with Play-Doh, among a bunch of other things.  Friday night, we hung out at home.  It was only 20-something degrees outside, so it was too cold to go anywhere anyways.

Saturday morning, Owen and Avari had basketball games at that same time.  It's definitely harder to watch them both, when they play at the same time.  From what I did see, they both did well again.  Owen's team only consisted of him, and two other little boys because all the girls were participating in the Forest Park Cheer Camp.  The other team are nice enough to give them one of their players, so it was a little more even. They don't keep score, but Owen did in his head.  He said his team won 5-1. : )
After basketball, Owen wanted to go home with my parents, so he did.  Alvin stayed awake to go to their game, so him, Avari, Easton, and I headed up to Betz's Butcher Shop, to get the 1/2 beef that his parents had them butcher for us.  When we got that home and put away, we went to my parents' house.  Alvin stayed for a little while, before heading home to get a few hours of sleep.  The kids and I stayed at my parents' house for awhile, so that our house would stay quiet.
That evening we went to Jasper to get Bryce's birthday present.  Owen wanted pizza for supper, so we stopped at Pizza Hut before going to Walmart.

Sunday, after church and Sunday school, we spent the whole day hanging out at home.  That evening we had laid a blanket on the floor, and had a picnic supper, while we watched the Super Bowl.
While at my parents' house, Easton gave the baby doll a bottle.
Then he said "Night, Night," and put the baby in the cradle, and covered her up.
He's going to be such a good daddy when he gets older. : )
Owen and Avari spent a majority of Sunday afternoon painting pictures.
Easton new fashion trend....one sock on and one sock off. : )
For some reason, he does this a lot.
The kids wanted their picture taken with daddy.

It was really nice to have a weekend spent mostly at home.
