Alvin got really lucky with Easton arriving on his due date because it was the week before Toyota's yearly summer shut down. So instead of getting just one week off after his birth, he got two weeks! It was really nice having him home in the evenings. His last week off, we tried to get things done around the house. We also went to visit his Grandma Betz and Uncle Ralph on Wednesday night, so they could meet Easton. Thursday evening, Alvin spent time with Easton, while I took Avari and Kenley to Holiday World. Emily had taken Owen with her earlier in the afternoon. Since it wasn't too terribly hot, and Avari really wanted to go to Holiday World and ride the rides, we met Emily, Addison, Jillian (who Emily had also taken along), April, and Gavin there to eat supper, and then ride some kiddie rides. The kids had fun, and Alvin got to spend some one-on-one time with Easton.
On Friday, July 8, I took Easton to the doctor for his 2-week check-up. He weighs 7lb 14oz (25th percentile) and is 21-1/2" long (75th percentile). He has gained 13oz and 3/4" since his birth! Dr. Lusk said that he looked great!
I think Owen is giving Easton some brotherly advice. :)
