T-Ball / Holiday World / Surprise Party / Concrete

The week of May 16th was filled with ups and downs!  If you remember, Owen got sick the day we left the cabins.  Well, this stomach bug made it's way through our entire family during the week!!  It was a bug that didn't want to leave!!  You thought you were feeling better, and the next day you felt like horrible again!  The work week definitely wasn't fun!  I don't think I've ever cleaned up more puke and washed more sheets and clothes in one week before!  Luckily we were all feeling better by the weekend.

Thursday evening, Owen had a make-up t-ball game, but since he still wasn't feeling the best, he didn't go.
Saturday morning, he had his last t-ball game, which was also Recognition Day.  They had someone pitch to them, and if they didn't hit the ball after three chances, they hit off the tee.  Owen had to hit off the tee the first time, but hit the ball the first time in the second inning!  We were very proud of him!  After the game Owen got his trophy and cookie, which he is always excited about!

Owen and I got season passes to Holiday World again this year.  After the game, Emily and the girls and Shalyn and the kids met at our house, and we went to Holiday World.  All the kids were super excited to finally get to go to Holiday World!  We didn't go to Splashin' Safari, but the kids didn't seem to mind.  They had a lot of fun just riding the rides.

Saturday evening we went to Emily and Adam's house for what I thought was just a get-together with friends....boy was I wrong!!  It turns out that Emily and Shalyn and planned a surprise diaper party for me!  I had NO idea why they were yelling surprise when we walked in, and was looking around to see if someone had come in behind us!  While I hate surprises, it was really sweet of them, and we really appreciate all the diapers and other baby necessities that we got.  They will definitely come in handy when baby #3 arrives!!  They just better watch out, if they decide to have another kid! ;-)  Everyone seemed to have a good time.
Yes, the look on my face is of total confusion because I had no idea why they were all yelling surprise!

Thanks a bunch for all the diapers, wipes, and bath necessities!
The cakes
Since we don't know what we are having, Emily and Shalyn got one in each color. :)

Sunday, after church, Alvin went out to the farm to put in hay, and the kids and I went to Denny's with my family.  Afterwards, we went to my parents' house because the kids wanted to help Katie wash her and Adam's new truck.  They also washed her car, and right after they were done, it rained! :-)  After the kids took naps, and Alvin got home, we went outside so the kids could play on our new concrete driveway!!
