School's Out For The Summer!!

We had a fun and busy Memorial weekend.  Friday evening the kids and I went to the Schipps' house.  Emily and I walked to the park with the kids, and got caught in a rain shower.  Luckily it didn't last long, and the kids had fun playing in the puddles and on the wet playground afterwards. :)  My parents stopped by to watch the kids play.  Afterwards, we stopped by the Ferdy Flyer for ice cream on our way back to the Schipps, house.

Saturday afternoon, my parents watched the kids, while Alvin was at the farm planting corn, and I went to see Sex and the City 2, with some friends.  After the movie, we went to Los Bravos.  It was fun catching up with the girls, and the movie was GREAT!  The kids had a lot of fun playing in the pool and grandma and grandpa's house.

Sunday afternoon, the kids and I met Katie, Emily, and the girls at Lincoln, while Alvin was at the farm putting in hay.  All the kids had fun playing in the lake and on the playground.  After we left Lincoln, we went to the farm.  Owen had been asking to go on a hayride all day.  After the guys were done putting in hay Owen, Avari, and Lance got to go on the hay ride.  They were so excited, and really like it.  After we left there, we went to my parents' house for an early Memorial Day get-together.  The Schipps were there too.
Avari liked filling buckets with sand.
Owen liked digging holes and filling them with water.

Monday afternoon (and into the evening) were spent at 18th Street Park.  We got together with a group of friends to grill out.  After eating, the guys played volleyball, and the girls watched the kids as they played on the playground.  It was a great spending the day with friends.  The kids had a blast playing with each other, and everyone was tired by the time we left the park. :)

They eventually figured it out. :)

Tuesday was the last day of school for North Spencer.  That means I don't have Carter or Gavin until school starts again.  While I still have my two kids (obviously), and the Schipp girls, it will be nice to have a little break from a house full of kids.  Apparently, Owen doesn't feel the same way.  He has already asked me when Carter and Gavin were coming back because he wants to play with them.  I guess he's already tired of playing with all the girls. :)  Luckily, Alvin is awake in the afternoon to play with him. :)
