Happy Birthday Dad!

Friday was my dad's birthday, so we all went to the Schipps' house for pizza and cake.  While we were there, Adam set up the bounce house, and of course, the kids had a blast playing in it!  They are definitely getting use out of at least one of Adi's birthday presents! :)

Saturday, my parents, and Katie watched the kids, while Emily and I went to Evansville shopping, and Alvin put in straw.  We were both in desperate need of some new summer clothes!!  We both came home with some good deals on new clothes.  Of course, I couldn't go shopping and not buy some new outfits for the kids! ;)  Alvin also got some new (and much needed) shorts.  That evening we went to my cousin Alicia's graduation party.  Afterwards, us, the Schipps, the Joneses, and Robby and Aden went to the Dairy Barn for some GOOD ice cream!

Sunday afternoon, Alvin went back out to the farm to put in hay.  The kids and I went to Jasper.  First, we stopped by Yaggi's Bar to pick up some chicken dinners.  My friend, Mary, and her family were having a benefit there for her dad, and a family friend of theirs.  Both men have cancer, so they were selling BBQ chicken or rib dinners.  Any extra prayers for them would be greatly appreciated!  After we talked to Mary for a little bit, we went to McDonalds.  I know...we just bought chicken dinners, but Owen wanted to go to McDonalds, so we saved them for later.  :)  After McDonalds, we went to Walmart.  Going to Walmart is definitely a challenge when it's just me and the kids.  It usually takes longer, and we end up forgetting (or skipping) several things on our list. :)  The kids took naps when we got home, and after Alvin came home we all went swimming in out pool!  It was a great end to a hot weekend!
