Happy 4th of July!

Our 4th of July weekend was filled with parties, volleyball, and swimming!

Saturday afternoon, Avari and I met mom, Emily, and Adi in Jasper for lunch.  Afterwards, we went to a few stores to look for new shoes for Avari because she has outgrown her other ones.  We weren't too successful, but did find a few sandals for everyday and for weekends.  Owen spent some time with Papaw Ed, while we were in Jasper because Alvin had to go work at the farm.  I asked if he wanted to go with us or stay with papaw, and of course he chose papaw...he didn't even have to think about it! :)

That evening we went to the Joneses' house.  The guys played volleyball and watched the UFC fights, while the girls talked and played with the kids.

Sunday afternoon, we went to Margie and Steve's house for a 4th of July party/surprise birthday party.  Thad will be turning 30 in August, so April threw an early surprise party for him.  He was definitely surprised!!  The guys played volleyball, and the kids had fun swimming and playing in the bounce house.

The kids playing with rocket balloons that Margie bought.  You blow them up, and when you let them go the make a high pitched noise.  They had a lot of fun with them!

Monday afternoon, Kevin, Kristin, and Kennedy came over to go swimming.  Afterwards, they went on a wagon ride.  All three of them loved it, so Alvin had to take them a few more times.  I think that would have rode on it all night long, if we had let them. :)

It was a great holiday weekend, filled with many fun things!
