Pizza Maker / 10 Months Old

The week between Christmas and New Year's, Alvin was off work, so we decided to visit some family members that we hadn't seen lately.  That Monday, we went to Homestead Pizza for supper, and to visit Alvin's Aunt Marilyn (she owes it).  She asked Owen if he wanted to help make our pizza.  He was hesitant at first, but after Alvin and I told him that we used to make pizzas here, he decided to help.  Afterwards, he even let Marilyn have a piece!  She told him that he did a good job, and could start working next weekend.  Who knows....maybe he will follow in mommy and daddy's footsteps... :)  I know that he had fun.  Now he wants to help me make pizza!

Alvin told him to put ham on our pizza...so he did...on a pile right in the middle. :)  After that we showed him how to spread it out. :)

Spreading the cheese!

That Tuesday, we visited Alvin's cousin, Robyn, and her fiance, Kregg.  They bought a house a few months ago, and we were finally able to go see it!  Alvin's brothers, and sister, and their families also went.  They have a nice house, and the Boeglin cousins showed them how child proof their house was...or in this case was not. :)  It was a nice visit, and we can't wait until their wedding.

This past weekend, was a pretty lazy weekend.  Saturday, we took down all of the Christmas lights, decorations, and the tree.  That night, we went to the Schipp's house, so that Alvin and Adam could finish some cornhole boards that they were working on.  Owen and Addison had a lot of fun playing together.  It's so cute how, even though they see each other almost everyday, they never get tired of playing together.  Avari had fun playing with Kenley's toys, while Kenley slept. :)
Sunday, after church, I went to Walmart, while Alvin stayed home with the kids.  Since it was so cold, and the kids already have colds, we didn't want to take them out anymore than we had to.  That evening, my parents and Katie came up for supper.
It was a nice, lazy weekend.  Now we are trying to get back in a normal routine again.

10 MONTHS OLD
Avari turned 10 months old on Saturday (Jan. 2)!  She is continuing to growing well, and learn new things everyday.  She now weighs 19 lbs 14 oz.  She has started eating more table food, and is doing very well with it.  She loves to walk while holding your hands, and is getting better at walking while only holding one of your hands.  She is also starting to stand by herself, but only when she wants to do it...there is no making her because she will just sit down when you let go of her, if she doesn't want to stand by herself.  She has also learned how to climb stairs.  Luckily, there is already a baby gate on the steps going upstairs.  The basement is a different story...the stairs are now her favorite place, so we now have to block them whenever we are down there.  She now gets mad when anyone tries taking something from her, that she doesn't want to give up.  She will pull it to her, and squeal/fuss.  She is no longer letting the older kids take her toys away. ;)  She has also started throwing fits.  If someone does get something away from her, she will lay on her belly, and cry.  I can't believe how fast she is growing up.  It's hard to believe that we will be planning her 1st birthday soon!

I'm 10 Months Old!!

Look at me climbing the stairs!

I can stand by myself...when I want to! :)
