Baby Shower / First Movie

This weekend we didn't do much.  Friday night I took the kids to McDonalds.  Mom and dad met us there.  If you've read Emily's blog, you know that they have Alvin and the Chipmunk toys there, and that Adi got one on Wednesday.  Well, Owen has been wanting one too, since he saw Adi's.  He was wanting Alvin (I'm sure you can guess why ;) ), but they only had Theodore.  Luckily he didn't seem to mind. :)
Saturday afternoon we had our family picture taken to the new church directory.  That evening we went to the Schipps house.  Owen, Adi, and Gavin wanted to play together, so April and Gavin came over too.  Thad had a pool tourney, so he couldn't come over.  The kids had a lot of fun playing together, while we watched the Colts game.
Sunday, Avari and I went to a baby shower for Alvin's cousin, Karla.  It was a nice shower, and she got a lot of nice things for the baby.  While we were there, Alvin took Owen to his very first movie!  He's not a big TV or movie person, so we never took him to the movies because we didn't think that he would sit through the whole thing.  The only movie that he will sit and watch until it's over (most of the time) is "CARS".  Anything  else, he will be done watching after about 5-10 minutes.  They saw the "Alvin and the Chipmunks" movie.  Alvin said that, besides needing to go to the bathroom three times, he did really good. :)  When I asked Owen if he had fun, he said that he did, and that now he wants to go see the movie with mommy. :)

Owen fell asleep on the couch and Avari thought that she had to lay with him :)

Owen colored this for a coloring contest at Hopf Equipment.  It was the first time that we actually him to try staying in the lines.  We think that he did a very good job for a 3 year old. :)
