Lazy Weekend

This was the first weekend in a long time that we didn't have anything going on all weekend. It was kind of nice. Friday, Owen spent the night at my parents' house. I was surprised that he actually stayed. My parents had asked him a few times since Avari was born, but he would always end up wanting to come home with me. This time he told me that he wanted to spend the night there. He actually wanted to spend the night on Wednesday, but we told him that he had to wait until the weekend, so maybe that's why he stayed.
Saturday morning, Emily and I went to Walmart. It goes a lot fasted when we don't have to take the kids with us. :) Saturday, evening we stayed at home. Owen finally got to use his new paints. He has been reminding me for awhile that I needed to get paper and paint brushes, so I finally remember on Saturday. Alvin mowed the yard, while Owen painted, and Avari played in her excersaucer. Alvin was very lucky to get done mowing and weed-eating right before the rain came. That night we watched Shrek 2....Owen picked the movie ;).
Sunday, we went to Alvin's parents' house after church. Then we went to The Great Wall for Alvin's birthday. That evening we went to my parents' house because Owen wanted to see his grandma and grandpa....good thing we don't live to far away from them. ;p The Schipps were there too, so the kids got to play together.
It was a nice lazy weekend.

Owen and Adi were sharing their water with Avari. It was so cute, one would take their cup away and she would turn to the other and open her mouth. She looked like a baby bird. She finally started holding onto it when they put it in her mouth. :)
