There has been a lot going on these past couple of days, and more to come the rest of the week.
I will start of with the weekend.
Saturday afternoon, me, Emily, mom, Katie, and the kids (minus Kenley) went to the Dale Fall Fest parade. Owen has never been a big fan of parades, and this one was no different. He doesn't like the loud noises. He says that it hurts his ears. I think that he might be done with parades for a little while. Maybe we will try again next year. One good thing about it, is that we done come home with a lot of candy. :) Avari seemed to like it though. She kept wanting to stand up so that she could see over Adi's chair. Saturday evening, we went to Kevin and Kristin's house, so that Kristin could take Owen's 3 year pictures, and Avari's 6 month pictures. Trying to take Owen's picture was a lot of fun, considering he wanted to do the opposite of what he was told. :) We did manage to get some good ones though. Avari was easier, after Owen left. While he was there, she kept smiling and looking at him, instead of at Kristin. We also got some good ones of her. Kristin does a very good job, and we are really glad that she takes them for us. After we left their house, we went to the Schipps' house, so that the guys could play volleyball at the park.

Sunday, we went to Holiday World with Katie for the Kimball picnic because Katie was able to get extra tickets. This time, Avari and mom also went along. Avari got a really good nap out of her first visit to Holiday World. I think she was awake for an hour or two, and slept the rest of the time. :D Mom and Katie took Avari and Kenley home when they decided to leave. We stayed most of the afternoon.

Avari and Kenley's first visit to Holiday World!
Mom is holding Owen and Adi because we couldn't keep them both by Santa at the same time. It was the only way that they would stay up there for a picture. :)

Mom has been wanting a picture of Owen on his pedal tractor, and I have been wanting a picture of Owen and Avari together, so this is what I came up with. :)

Now onto the things that have been happening around our house. This week has been (and will continue to be) spent at various doctor's offices. Tuesday night, I took Owen to Urgent Care to find out that he had fractured his right arm. :( Now that Alvin is back on nights, he sleeps upstairs, so that the kids don't wake him up. Owen always wakes him up by jumping on his back and saying "Wake up lazy bones!" Well, Tuesday he jumped on him and then started crying and holding his arm. We put ice on it and didn't think much of it. After his nap, he still acted like it kind of hurt, but he was steering the lawn mower, and driving his pedal tractor, so we thought it was fine. Then he was running through the yard and fell...landing on the same arm. After that he didn't want to do anything, and cried when anyone pressed on his arm. We thought it might just be sprained or bruised, but later I noticed that he we really babying it and not using it. I dropped Avari off at mom and dad's house and mom went with me to Urgent Care. It was a good thing too, because Owen is not a fan of doctors. Plus, they had to take x-rays and he had to sit on my lap, while mom held his arm down. The doctor said that he has a small fracture on his radius bone (the big arm bone). They put a splint and sling on it Tuesday night. The sling was completely pointless because it was impossible to keep it on him. He had it on for an hour on Wednesday, and I had to stick his arm back in it about 20 times. Then he figured out how to take the sling off.
Wednesday afternoon, Emily watched Avari, while Alvin and I took Owen to Dr. Eby to get a cast put on his arm. He picked a red one, and did very very well, while they put it on. It goes from his elbow down. They did that, so that Owen wouldn't be able to pull the cast off, once the swelling went down. He has been doing really well with it. Hopefully he continues to do so. He has to keep it on for three weeks. So far, he hasn't let anyone sign it. He wanted us to put his name on it, so that Adi couldn't take it. :D He has also realized that he could us it as a weapon, which we quickly told him was not allowed.
Our week continues with doctors, as Avari has her 6 month shots today, and Owen has his 3 year check-up tomorrow. We are also trying to get ready for Owen's birthday party this Saturday, which has been coming along very slowly, with everything else that has happened.
