Fall Carnival & a Birthday Party

Last Friday, the PTO at Ferdinand Elementary held a Fall Carnival.  They had lots of things for the kids to do, from games to crafts, to barrel train rides, and an inflatable obstacle course.  They also had face painting, a little petting zoo, and the Cake Walk.  You could pay $3.00 for a meal that consisted of chili, chips, a drink, and your choice of a hot dog, a cheeseburger, or a hamburger.  They also had a snack table where you could buy cotton candy, popcorn, and freeze pops.  Each grade class was in charge of a game, so the teachers asked for a parents to volunteer to work it for 1/2 half.  Alvin and I volunteered for the first 1/2 hour.  Since that shift was from 5:00-5:30, we just brought Adi and Kenley with us.  Alvin decided to work at the "Chicken Chucking" game (you had three chances to toss a rubber chicken into one of three big pots), while I watch the five kids.  The kids had a lot of fun.  Avari decorated a megaphone, and Owen decorated a big hand, both made out of poster board.  They also played some games, went through the obstacle course, and rode on the barrel train.  Easton just hung out in the stroller most of the time, but did want out to run around every once in a while.
The kids with their faces painted.
Easton didn't get his painted, and obviously did non want to be in this picture! Lol
Adi and Avari got a flower.  Kenley got a sun on one cheek and two hearts on the other.  Owen was turned into a tiger.
Waiting in line to eat, so they can go have more fun!

Since they were running all over the place, and Alvin had to leave for work after we ate, these are the only pictures I got. : )

Saturday I took the kids to Walmart, so that they could pick out their Halloween costumes.  That evening, we met the Schipps at the park since it was so nice outside.  Alvin had to work that night, so after he left, the rest of us went to Emily and Adam's house, and had a picnic supper.  We hung out there the rest of the night.

Sunday, after church and Sunday school, we came home, ate some lunch, and then got Owen ready for his soccer game.  After soccer, we stopped by the Schipps' house, so that Owen could change his clothes before he went to Bryce Miller's (our cousin, Janelle's little boy) Mickey Mouse themed 2nd birthday party.  It was held at the Otwell Community Center, which is attached to the old school gym.  The kids always have a lot of fun running around in there, playing basketball, kicking balls around, riding on trikes, and playing on the stage.  The big boys, even had to played a game a basketball.  I think it's safe to say that everyone had a lot of fun!
HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY BRYCE!!
It was very nice of Bryce to let his big brother, Chase, blow out his candle! Haha
